About Me

Philip Nelson is a Behavioural Psychologist working for the Wales Centre for Behaviour Change at Bangor University, North Wales. He received his BSc. in Psychology in 2012, and will be awarded his MSc. in Applied Behaviour Analysis in September, 2013. In October 2013 he will begin his PhD in behavioural psychology.

This blog is the mental detritus left over from a days work. It combines my passion for science, my passion for talking (or writing, if you prefer...) about science, and my passion for combining seemingly disparate topics (like design, economics, politics, philosophy, psychology, architecture, literature etc...) into cogent (and hopefully informative!) little snippets. In my view the main goal of any science should be improving the lives of everyone here on Earth. Behaviour change is more than watching pigeons in a cage. It is the science of what we do, to learn more about it and the theories underlying it, check out my Behaviour in Context page.

My hope is that this blog will shed some light on the mysteries of human behaviour and perhaps help you out in some small way.
